1914 - Where Fear And Weapons Meet 2-LP (Black Vinyl)
What we have here is another perfectly written record. There is no doubt about it that 1914 are master writers. Each song dives into a topic that I wouldn't normally know anything about, but I come out of the song with my eyes opened. What sets apart these guys from other artists is that most songs have a story and that story has a main character. This character sometimes has a name that helps the listener relate to. They'll have a goal to just survive a battle or sometimes not have the mental capacity to get through certain struggles. The fact that 1914 can write about mental anguish these soldiers went through makes it seem like you're reading a journal from actual people. It's beautiful, haunting, and addicting to listen to.
Not many bands can accomplish what these guys continue to accomplish every release. They write with emotion and it's perfectly expressed by the A+ vocals of Dmytro Kumar. He's seriously becoming one of my favorite vocalists in all of metal. I naturally hyped up "Where Fear And Weapons Meet" after gushing over "The Blind Leading The Blind". I'm so relieved to know that this is an amazing follow up. I hope 1914 keeps doing what they do best because right now they are unstoppable
