ANAAL NATHRAKH - Endarkenment CD

At the time of writing of this review, Endarkenment stands as the latest addition to the Anaal Nathrakh discography, and I must say that if this ends up as their final outing, which I hope with every cell in my body that it is not, they did go out with a bang. Endarkenment feels like almost a conclusion to the progression of their sound throughout their discography. It has constantly evolved and changed, with the only common denominator with every change in sound being that they have moved on to something more accessible and palatable for a lot of metal listeners. Endarkenment is essentially how far they are able to go with this increasing accessibility before they turn into something completely different. But with this comes one thing to remember, being accessible is not always a bad thing. And in the case of this album, that holds especially true.
