2 years after the great grindcore album Homovore, Cattle Decapitation returned with To Serve Man, a very different album compared to what they had released so far at the time. This record is the first time they have used a bass since their demo, and they now employ the fantastic Josh Elmore on guitar. While the previous two albums were aligned mostly with grindcore and goregrind, To Serve Man leans a lot more into the death metal sound, resulting in an amazing pure deathgrind record.

To Serve Man is a vast improvement over Human Jerky and Homovore, and makes for an awesome deathgrind record, even though it is in Cattle Decapitation’s bottom 3 albums, but that it is moreso a testament to the band’s greatness, than it is this album being weak.
