MORBID SAINT - Spectrum Of Death LP (Black Vinyl)

Morbid Saint is one of those underground thrash bands no one ever talks about, but released an album that beats literally any "mainstream" thrash record, with a few notable exceptions. The amount of sheer hatred, brutality, damage-infliction, chaos, destruction that takes place on this disc is staggering, and the fact that the band found a way to perfectly make it work is even more impressive. What you'll find on here is a whole lot of musical desecration, violence and clenching the throats of everything that gets in the way. This right here is one of the few "brutal thrash" records that you can really count on when you need an album that will get you pumped up, or release some tension.

The record's style is very unique. It's an interesting combination, because the band's music itself is obviously thrash metal. Not even deathrash, this is 100% pure thrash metal, but a very unique approach that distantly reminisces Demolition Hammer and Sodom at times, but manages to stay its own throughout the album. No melodies, no emotions, just pure devastation to anything that would dare to get in the way. However, the sound is absolutely death metal-like, the tonality of the instruments sound exactly as if this was a death metal record. This combo makes for an absolutely deadly combination, and you might find yourself hit in the face harder than ever before, when the simply chilling and horrifying riffs of "Lock Up Your Children" flow through your speakers for the first time.
