MYTHIC – Anthology Gatefold-LP (Oxblood vinyl)

Released in a gatefold jacket, limited to 250 copies.

The first time I listened to this compilation, I forgot this was an all female group. That's how tight they are. The vocals themselves are very low growls in league with Coffins or Winter even though it is a lady doing this. Some of the best and lowest growls I have heard from a female vocalist. Especially on the second track "Lament Configuration," originally from the Mourning in the Winter Solstice EP. The guitar riffs are slow and crushing as this music should be. This track also has a very nice segment where the bass player's notes ring out on the forefront for a moment. This is probably my favorite track from the group, though really all the songs are super cool and they're all tracks I could listen to over and over.
