SORCERER – The Crowning Of The Fire King CD

This may be the best epic doom album next to Candlemass´s debut, it is simply a joy to listen to and it is heavy as FUCK. This album has a large amount of heavy metal structure but still manages to keep the band´s genre the same. Every track on this album is a mind blowing doom masterpiece. The album cover definitely fits the sound of the music and is just as awesome, My favorite track is between the title track and Ship of Doom. I like when doom metal has slow and long songs that satiate my hunger for doom.

The production quality is excellent and it sounds almost, well.. majestic. Just by listening to the opening track I can tell a lot of effort was spent on this album, the recording is amazing and the vocals are simply remarkable. The album has 3 formats, and I only own one of them sadly, but I am still able to enjoy this album either way. I really love the experimentation in this album rather than just sounding like generic doom metal, they actually gave this release a bit of a variety for what kind of music you hear.

It is primarily doom metal, but it ranges from doom metal,heavy metal, hard rock, progressive metal, etc. They actually care to make this album different from other albums similar to it. I am very impressed with how this band´s new release turned out because I generally do not expect greatness from new releases, mainly because of all the bad ones. This album proves that doom metal is still alive and well because it is a great and highly recommended album to listen to and a great band to listen to if you love epic doom metal.
