Týr’s epic Viking Metal classic “Land” for first time on vinyl! Hail to the hammer!

Hailing from the Faroe Islands, Týr have always had a sound of their own, combining traditional Faroese melodies with epic, melodic metal. This release is a prime example of that approach, with the folk elements taking an especially prominent role.
The guitars are focused on melody rather than sheer heaviness, with many of the album’s most memorable passages drawing directly from traditional folk music. Layered vocals and strong vocal melodies add to the distinctive character of the songs, while the drums keep things firmly rooted in metal.
The result is an album that puts Faroese musical heritage front and centre without losing the epic atmosphere that defines Týr.

Catchy, melodic and rich in traditional influences, it shows exactly what makes the band’s music stand out within the folk metal scene.
Now available again on vinyl, this re-issue gives both longtime fans and newcomers the opportunity to add this distinctive piece of Týr’s catalogue to their collection.
