VISIGOTH – The Revenant King CD

Sometimes, you listen to an album to relax. Sometimes, you listen to an album to get excited and get the endorphin rush that us metalheads so often crave. Visigoth's "The Revenant King" serves the purpose setting just about any mood that you could ever desire. This lengthy album is a massive slab of heavy metal mastery. Hearkening back to the styles of the 1980's while incorporating many elements of modern music production, Visigoth have managed to craft one of my favorite albums of all time.

Overall, while you won't find anything new on "The Revenant King", you will find the perfection of everything that, in my opinion, a heavy metal band should strive for. From the great themes of prophecy, war, and brotherhood, to the excellent musicianship, there isn't a shortage of amazing tunes on display on this album. I eagerly await to see what the band has in store in the future and I shall wait with baited breath.
